Two strains of probiotics, BB536 and LactoSpore, are chosen because they have decades of documented history of safety and benefits. While cocoa itself is considered a prebiotic, we also add xylooligosacharides (XOS), a super prebiotic. In addition, dark chocolate protects the probiotics through the stomach and result in more viable CFUs reaching the gut.
